'The war on democracy'

Oh apols, been distracted of late with my hols and been keeping slightly odd hours to say the least but was lucky enough to catch John Pilgers film 'The war on democracy'. I've included a link below:

For those that haven't seen this yet it is in my humble opinion one of the best docufilms regarding the foreign policy of America and how countries have fought back through their peoples united front against puppet dictators, bank monopolisation and wholesale privatisation for profit. It details horrendous human rights abuse by leaders not least of which being the USA which carries on to this day not only wittingly on foreign nationals but their own citizens, truly frightening.

There is a face to face interview by John Pilger with an ex CIA director which is again very disturbing to hear someone that once held such power ultimately saying the USA is a bully boy country and I quote 'if you don't like it, tough get used to it' The arrogance and self belief that anything that is 'perceived' as not in the interests of USA national security will be dealt with and that 'dealing' with has led to thousands of deaths and torturings. To see this bloke deny the deaths of thousands in Chile under General Pinochet was truly galling akin to a Nazi Holocaust denier.... has he not seen the memorials to the dead and missing victims? but at least he did accept it was down to America that Pinochet came into power.

If any of us where unaware of the extent to which we are controlled and manipulated into a state of submission and 'sleep' by our governments then this surely will make you open your eyes to the lies, deceit and moneymaking that is going on by those that wield the power. It also gives hope that people when focused can and will throw of the yoke to make a difference regardless of how many deaths it takes to bring about change.
