'And I have become a devourer of worlds'

Just had to post this recent pic of some superb observation of a black hole destroying a distant sun that has been observed in process for the past couple of years.


Checking out some of the Hubble archives and deep space imagery recently has been facinating and enlightening into our small place within the vastness.
With the recent NASA announcement to get a moonbase established by 2020 and utilising this as a jumping point to mars which looks as if it does indeed have water present on it's surface and perhaps life in the grand scale of things this is like stoneage man moving to the cave a few feet further up the hill but has to give has to give all his mates a leg up to reach it.....

Well lets hope some freindly Aliens give us a hand before we make a mess of all our nearby planets in our 'Migration' at very least it might speed things up a bit. Thats presuming they aren't here already doing just that.....

How I would love to live to see the day when Mankind has stretched out across the milky way inhabit planets orbiting thousands of Suns and we have learnt there are some things you just can't control.....
