Indigo?, nice colour but not sure....

Still on the lifetime quest of spiritualism and esoteric investigation on the part of maybe achieving some enlightenment I have been looking into the idea of 'Indigo Children' and the theory of 'Indigo Adults'.

For those not familiar 'Indigo children' are basically psychic and spiritually gifted children that may or may not be our next evolutionary step/jump. Many have been theorising on the idea of them 'here to save the world' etc etc but there is a degree of substance to their shared common characteristics and traits. I have to admit I am still touching the surface on much of the research that has been done that really took off mid to late 1990's but it as been quite alarming thinking that I display pretty much all of these characteristics though have never been diagnosed with ADH as a child. I did however spend many early years sat in the Headmasters office with my mother defending my actions and the headmaster not wanting to exclude me 'I was sort of the A grade student pre teens' but having trouble wandering what to do with me after I had carried out yet another prank or broken something else whilst taking it apart.

Now as an Adult I still think daily about some of the weird psychic stuff that happened to me as a child and although on occasion it still happens I am much more focused intuitively now yet still completely lost as to what my purpose is here every day. I think many of my actions are viewed by others as downright weird or cooky but to me they make perfect sense and I don't suffer fools gladly always sort of feeling a little 'above' everyone else. Not in a superiority complex way or anything but just sort of knowing that in conversations you are seeing a picture form and an outcome before the sentence is finished. I almost feel as if I guide people into saying what I know they are going to say subconsciously without uttering a word. All of which is slightly odd. Permanent deja vu?.

Anyway should I be one of these 'Indigo children' turned Adult I am not alone there are a lot about it seems and I suppose going and having one of these Aura readings done is probably the next step to find out one way or another. For those interested I have reprinted below what to look for as an adult Indigo

Are You an Adult Indigo?

Yes, You can be an adult Indigo. They did not JUST start coming in now, the numbers have just been increasing more and more til there are so many we finally can not ignore them. Yeay!!! Are you an adult Indigo?

Please note, I (Wendy Chapman) am the first person to publish anything about indigo adults. Everything else I had heard or read prior to 2001 said that indigo children started in the late 70s and early 80s. I received thousands of emails in 1999 and 2000 from people who claimed to be adult indigo children. These people were over 25, and mostly over 30 years old, and had very similar characteristics to indigo children, plus or minus a few. The differences to indigo children were reliably coming up in nearly every letter. I collated this data and came up with a list of indigo adult characteristics, published here in Feb. 2001. The list has born the test of time, with tens of thousands more people recognizing themselves and writing to me. I am very glad to have made this contribution to the world!

Many indigo's seem to find solace in finally knowing why they are different from the general population and in knowing they are not completely alone. I began the indigo adults mailing list on yahoo groups in April 2001, which now in 2005 has over 2100 members and the indigo-adults-moderated (on topic) list, which has over 700 members. Follow the links at the bottom of the page to join either of these. These lists are virtual communities for indigo adults. I am writing a book about indigo adults to help spread the word to reach more indigo's.
