Shaken not stirred

Oh we had an earthquake last week here in the UK. It was a little noisy, and a bit shaky my neck of the woods but the house is still standing with only a few cracks in the plaster and I didn't fall down the stairs as I was bizarrely awake at the time haven woken from a bit of a slumber five minutes before it struck. I must have some weird sixth sense for natural disasters.

Unfortunately I was still half asleep so thought the neighbours were having an argument or a plane had crashed into my house, or worse yet the police were hammering down my front door with a big metal battering ram or something. It wasn't until the shaking subsided that I realised it was probably an earthquake and it might have been an Idea to get out of the shaking house.....
