Following on from my last post regarding the funny old world of weaponry sales the UK MOD has decided due to the forthcoming proposed ban on 'cluster' bombs they will reclassify them as 'Smart' cluster bombs to get around the ban and carry on flogging them to all and sundry because we have quite a few to get rid of. WTF. This is completely bonkers, its a bit like deciding a nuclear bomb isn't a nuclear bomb if it doesn't leave radiation behind, or a bullet isn't a bullet if it misses?. This reminds me of the whole DUP (depleted uranium projectiles) thing. A large amount of nations that produce nuclear waste and therefore have to 'safely' dispose of said waste are finding this a hugely costly and difficult exercise so to cut corners they are converting the 'free' waste into munitions to fire at their enemies and contaminate the battlefields of many countries for generations. But it's ok because they aren't nuclear weapons really in the conventional sense.....
